This rambling bunch of thoughts has arisen from the release of that demeaning movie “Project X”.

It disgusts me. Why is it okay, and even encouraged, for youth to be so materialistic and shallow and reckless? Shows like Jersey Shore and Teen Mom, hell, EVERYTHING on MTV seem to promote nothing good. I have yet to find any redeeming quality on anything that MTV shows. And I hate the celebrity bullshit.

Why do people want me to care about what Beyonce names her kid or who those despicable Kardashians marry?

Why does it have to be more impressive that you can blackout at a party rather than read a classic book?

Or am I just being a snobbish bitch for wanting people to be more intellectual and less rude/gross/stupid?

Just stuff that’s been muddling about in my brain recently… and it’s much more intense there. This stuff legitimately pisses me off. I wish I didn’t care so much about how other people act. -_-

This light post is dedicated to you, lovely lady.

My friend Sumer is in the midst of a rigorous workout routine/life-change. And I get to help! I’m probably one of the worst choices for support though, because I’m in the same “fit” category as an old woman in line for gastric bypass surgery so the fat-camp will accept her and help her lose the rest of the weight. If that makes sense. I’m in baaaad shape. But I’ll do what I can to help my lady-friend because her happiness is HIGH on my list of priorities. and I do agree with her. The body is a temple, it’s the only one you get, treat it like a friend, etc. But anyway! Keep up the fantastic work Sumer! Save me a bucket of sweat? I bet there’s someone who would pay good money for hot-girl sweat.

A good thing, I suppose(?), is that her wanting to be better is making me want to be a better person. Usually that means emotionally, but this time it’s encroaching on my physical self-image. Ugh. I suppose this means I start taking the stairs more. I reason that if she’s going to live longer, I ought to be there to live longer with her. We gotta try to die at the same time, okay love? Even if it is half way around the world. I hope they figure out teleporting by the time I’m an actual adult. Traveling from London/Sweden to midwest America will get old very quickly.

I don’t like that we aren’t skyping. But I’m basically dying from busy right now, so I can hold out a while longer. At least there’s typing.

I love that you’re in a foreign country and you stay home at night and read Harry Potter. That’s exactly what I would be doing ‘twere I over there. and I’m SO glad you’re reading them. YOU’LL GET ALL OF MY REFERENCES TO IT NOW AND I WON’T HAVE TO EXPLAIN SHIT.

I really am so proud of you for pushing yourself so diligently. I know how much you hate having to get back on the exercise horse, so the fact that you’re still excited is a great indicator of how successful I KNOW you’ll be. :)

OH! I put this picture on here, because I never saw it in your albums before, and it’s gorgeous. Just a reminder that you are an amazing person Sumer, and that I love you no matter what shape you are or aren’t.
